MCS recommended sites in Southern England
Thank you to everyone who voted on sites in England. Over 70% of votes were in favour of full protection, and over 97% (27 of 28 MCS recommended sites) will receive some form of protection in the proposed network. But sadly, less than 1% (2 sites) of Your Seas Your Voice in England are proposed to have full protection. We have passed details of your votes and comments to the Regional MCZ projects.

Southern England
Between the chalk reefs of the Isle of Wight and the unique geography of Lyme Bay lies a marine treasure chest. Habitats range from sleepy sheltered waters, perfect for seahorses in Poole Bay and Studland, to rare Jurassic reef communities in Lyme Bay and submerged chalk reefs of The Isle of White that are extremely vulnerable to erosion.
